Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Through the Mystical Rainforest

Senaru Village (601m) → Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m)

Your journey begins in the cool, lush environment of Senaru. The dense tree canopy provides natural protection from the sun, making the ascent pleasant and deeply connected with nature.

  • 08:00 AM: Start the trek from the Rinjani Trekking Center (RTC) in Senaru, walking through dense tropical forests rich with diverse flora and fauna.
  • 12:00 PM: Arrive at Pos 2 (Montong Satas - 1,500m) for a freshly prepared, warm lunch served by your porter team.
  • 02:00 PM: Continue the ascent to Pos 3 (Mondokan Loka - 2,000m). Keep your eyes peeled for the rare black ebony leaf monkeys (Lutung).
  • 05:00 PM: Emerge from the tree line and arrive at the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m). Relax in your luxury tent as you take in one of Indonesia's most spectacular sunsets over the crater lake.

Day 2: Morning Magic & Descent

Wake up to the crisp mountain air and a beautiful sunrise illuminating the valley before beginning your leisurely descent back to civilization.

  • 06:00 AM: Watch the sunrise over the majestic Mount Rinjani summit from the comfort of the rim.
  • 07:00 AM: Enjoy a luxurious, hot breakfast paired with premium coffee or tea.
  • 08:30 AM: Begin the descent back down through the rainforest trails. The journey down is faster and easier on the lungs.
  • 12:30 PM: Stop for a final trail lunch at Pos 1.
