Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: The Grand Savanna Ascent

Sembalun Village (1,156m) → Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m)

We pick you up from your hotel in Lombok and drive to the Rinjani Trekking Center (RTC) in Sembalun. Following registration and a medical check, your trek begins through sweeping, sunlit grasslands.

  • 08:00 AM: Start trekking to Pos 1 (Pemantauan - 1,300m) and Pos 2 (Tengengean - 1,500m).
  • 12:00 PM: Arrive at Pos 3 (Pada Balong - 1,800m) for a freshly cooked, gourmet hot lunch prepared by our porters.
  • 01:30 PM: Face the steepest section of the day, the infamous "Hills of Regret," a continuous incline testing your endurance.
  • 05:00 PM: Arrive at the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m). Your premium tents are already pitched. Enjoy a magnificent sunset over Segara Anak Lake and a lavish dinner.

Day 2: The Summit Attack & Return

Crater Rim (2,639m) → Summit (3,726m) → Sembalun Village

A midnight wake-up call marks the beginning of the most challenging, yet rewarding, part of your journey. You will navigate loose volcanic scree under the light of the stars to reach the peak by dawn.

  • 02:00 AM: Wake up for a light breakfast consisting of hot tea, coffee, and energy-boosting snacks.
  • 02:30 AM: Commence the 3-hour climb to the summit. The final hour requires climbing through deep volcanic sand.
  • 06:00 AM: Reach Mount Rinjani's Summit (3,726m). Witness an unparalleled sunrise illuminating the entire island of Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa.
  • 07:30 AM: Descend back to the Crater Rim. Enjoy a heavy, well-deserved second breakfast.
  • 09:30 AM: Begin the long descent back down the savanna trails to Sembalun Village, stopping for lunch at Pos 2.
  • 03:30 PM: Arrive at Sembalun. Our private transport will be waiting to transfer you to your next destination in Lombok.
